Meet the Team: Andy Laycock

Meet Andy, our new International Sales Manager for Hainsworth Cue Sports Fabrics

We’re excited to welcome Andy Laycock to the Hainsworth Cue Sports Fabrics team as our new International Sales Manager! This newly created role has been designed to support our continued global growth. Andy will be responsible for managing our customer relationships outside the UK, working with both long-standing partners and new contacts. He’ll be travelling extensively to meet customers face-to-face, ensuring they receive the personal service that Hainsworth is known for.

One of Andy’s first projects will be attending the Guangzhou International Billiards Exhibition (GBE) in Guangzhou, China. He’ll be joining our Commercial Director, Phil Atherton, and Managing Director, Amanda McLaren, to meet both existing and prospective customers in the region.

Andy’s journey into textiles began by chance, after graduating in German and Business Studies in 1994. Since then, he has worked with major global brands across seating fabrics, intimate apparel, and home textiles. Most recently, Andy served as International Sales Manager at Freudenberg Performance Materials Apparel, where he collaborated with various UK fast fashion brands and global manufacturers.

With over 30 years of international sales and export experience in the textiles industry, Andy brings knowledge, energy, and a global perspective to the team. His career has taken him across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East – including several years based in Dubai.

Outside of work, Andy enjoys travelling, learning languages, and tackling a good challenge.
