Hainsworth Cue Sports Fabrics is a division of AW Hainsworth, a renowned manufacturer of premium woollen cloth for over 240 years.
Since 1783, the Hainsworth name has been associated with exceptional quality. We bring together traditional craftsmanship, technical innovation, and new product development to meet the changing needs of our customers worldwide.
As part of the AW Hainsworth family, Hainsworth Cue Sports Fabrics has access to centuries of fabric manufacturing expertise, and the ability to invest in better quality control and new product development.
Part of an iconic heritage
Hainsworth cloth has earned its place in the history of the nation. For over 200 years we’ve manufactured the iconic scarlet fabric once worn in battle by British troops and still seen today at grand ceremonies and Royal occasions. We supply the scarlet cloth worn by the guards at Buckingham Palace – one of the most famous symbols of British iconography today.
A legacy of innovation
Since 1783 Hainsworth has led the way on textile manufacturing processes, introducing pioneering new weaves and the latest fabrics to our customer markets. We continue to innovate today, developing new textile qualities and striving to take our knowledge even further.
Our UKAS-accredited laboratory allows us to develop new products in-house, as well as carrying out standardised tests to ensure our products remain of the highest quality.
The Royal Warrant
We are proud to hold a Royal Warrant as Manufacturers of Furnishing Fabrics to the Royal Households, first granted by HM Queen Elizabeth II in 2004 and awarded to us again in 2024 by King Charles III.
Quality at AW Hainsworth
Quality without compromise is one of the core values at Hainsworth. We are a fully vertical mill, meaning that our dedicated workforce can monitor quality at every stage of the manufacturing process.
As well as departmental monitoring, we also have a series of inspection points throughout the mill so we can identify and rectify any faults.
